For over 30 years, attorney David Simons has practiced law with the goal of protecting employees from discrimination and unlawful behavior on the part of their employers, whether they’re large corporations or small businesses. In the decades since founding the Law Office of David F. Simons, he has stayed true to that mission, with several multimillion-dollar successes when representing individuals before judges, juries, arbitrators, mediators and in settlement negotiations.
In the process, Mr. Simons has garnered significant professional recognition, including being awarded the prestigious Best Lawyers, Lawyer of the Year for 2010, 2012 and several years since in labor and employment law for the City and County of Honolulu. He has been selected to Super Lawyers every year since 2008.
He is also listed in the book “The Best Lawyers in America”, was named as one of the Best Lawyers in Hawaii by Honolulu Magazine and was named as one of America’s top business attorneys in the book “America’s Leading Business Lawyers”. Since 1978, Mr. Simons has provided tough, dedicated guidance to clients in various employment issues, from negotiating severance packages to assisting individuals who have been wrongfully terminated.
In cases involving instances of discrimination, we have achieved significant results for our clients, both through mediation, litigation and other methods of dispute resolution. Our office has won three of the four biggest jury verdicts in Hawaii. We are always prepared to fight for and defend your rights.
Education And Background
Mr. Simons is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A. Psychology, 1973) and Harvard Law School (J.D., 1977). He was licensed in the state of Hawaii in 1978 and in the state of Florida in 1997.
