David Simons is a Harvard-educated attorney. He has been practicing law in Hawaii since 1978. He has devoted his legal career to representing employees. He has been voted by his fellow attorneys as one of Hawaii’s “Best Lawyers” and twice named “Lawyer of the Year”. He has been listed annually every year, for 23 years in the book “The Best Lawyers in America”. He was named as one of the Best Lawyers in Hawaii by Honolulu Magazine, and was named as one of America’s top business attorneys in the book “America’s Leading Business Lawyers”. He has also been awarded the highest possible rating, AV, by Martindale Hubbell.

Mr. Simons knows how to effectively represent women who have been sexually harassed, doctors and nurses who have been fired, and CEOs who need someone to stand up for them when a severance agreement needs to be negotiated. During his career Mr. Simons has had many multi-million dollar successes for terminated employees. Three of the largest employment verdicts in Hawaii history were obtained by him for terminated workers.

Mr. Simons grew up on the East Coast. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A. Psychology, 1973). He then went to Harvard Law School (J.D., 1977).

After law school ended, Mr. Simons went on a two week vacation to Maui. It was love at first sight. Mr. Simons never used his return ticket. He has been a lawyer in Hawaii ever since. His office is in Honolulu. He represents employees on all islands.
